Success for Alé riders in the Giro d'Italia 2024
After a punishing three weeks at the Giro d'italia, Tadej Pogačar has taken home the trophy in his first attempt of the Italian grand tour.
It was also a successful tour for Alé riders Antonio Tiberi (Bahrain Victorious) and Giulio Pellizzari (VF Group-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè).
Antonio Tiberi rode into Rome on Sunday in the best young rider’s white jersey and finishing 5th in the GC. He became the first Italian to win the 'Best Young Rider' Jersey in nearly a decade.
Giulio Pellizzari finished second behind Tadej Pogacar in the points classification for the Maglia Azzura, awarded to the race's best climber. With Tadej wearing the pink jersey during the final stage, Giulio Pellizzari wore the Blue Jersey on the ride into Rome.
